Into the Pit: Polishing Brutalis

For my first TTRPG, I want to write down where my brains at, show what decisions got me to where I am.

Step 1) This needs to be something I like. Yeah who doesn't want to write the next viral thing, but if I'm going to spend time and effort, it should be on something that sparks joy. I've been watching "Never Stop Blowing Up" recently, and I started listening to My Chemical Romance, so I want something that brings that kind of energy.

Step 2) I've always played crunchy rules, but I've always looked longingly at Improv, so I want to make a system that lets me stretch for a session or two. I've spent a TON of time staring at math and "What feels challenging enough", and translating that into steps for an improv system. Instead of "what do youuu think", I want to set up degrees of success. It's easier to get players in when they have to describe success on a scale.

The page I've got here (needs some text cleanup and) hits closer to "document with rules in it". I worry that kind of lessens the "vibes" I want, but ultimately I want people to play games, not state at my pretty Affinity work.
